Send a notice
A copyright owner or authorized representative should include:
- A physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list of works.
- The disputed material’s CatTinder URL or enough information to locate it.
- Contact details, including address, telephone and available email.
- A good-faith statement that the use lacks permission from the owner, the owner’s agent or the law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.
See the Copyright Office’s optional notice form. We assess notices promptly and act expeditiously to remove or disable access as appropriate. Copyright notices are handled separately from ordinary content reports.
If your content was removed
If removal was a mistake or misidentification, email a counter-notice with your signature, the removed material and its former location, and a good-faith statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification. Include your name, address and telephone number; consent to the federal district court covering your address (or, outside the United States, any federal district where Hey Brain LLC may be found); and agree to accept service from the original complainant or their agent.
We forward a valid counter-notice, including its required contact details, to the complainant. Consider this disclosure before submitting one. An optional counter-notice form is available.
Where the DMCA restoration procedure applies, we restore the material no earlier than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receipt of a valid counter-notice, unless we first receive notice of a filed action seeking a court order against the uploader’s alleged infringement of the identified material. A separate legal or independently established policy restriction is considered separately.
Repeat infringement and accurate notices
We terminate accounts in appropriate circumstances for repeated copyright infringement. We consider corrections, withdrawals, disputes and attempts to evade restrictions. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice can create liability.
